2023 Chevy Camaro FAQ

Will Chevy make a Camaro in 2023?

The first question you may have is whether there will be a 2023 Camaro, and the answer is a resounding yes. The current edition still gives you head-turning style with eight different trims and four engine options. However, production is likely to come to an end by 2024, and next year's model might be one of the last ever built.

What will replace the 2023 Chevy Camaro in 2024?

At the moment, it's unclear what will replace the Camaro after 2024. It's possible that the name will be retired, making this the last in a royal lineage to be fawned over by car buffs forevermore. However, it's also rumored that the Camaro will be replaced by an all-electric sedan by 2035 that makes use of GM's unique Ultium platform.

What trim levels does the 2023 Camaro Offer?

With eight trims, there's a Camaro to suit anyone. The base levels of 1LS, 1LT, and 2LT give you the essentials, while the higher trims give you more premium features and ever-increasing performance.

1LS

This is your base trim for the 2023 Camaro. The 2-liter turbo inline-four engine, sport suspension, StabiliTrak electronic stability control system with traction control and LED daytime running lamps are all standard, as is the eight-way power driver seat.

1LT

With the 1LT, you can add the 3.6-liter V-6 engine if you want a little extra oomph. You can also get a six-way power front passenger seat and can consider adding the optional power sunroof.

2LT

The 2LT gives you heated and ventilated front seats and dual-zone climate control for extra comfort, allowing drivers and passengers to have an internal environment suited to their particular contentment. You can also add on Brembo yellow-painted brake calipers, which improve upon the Camaro's eye-catching appearance.

3LT

Here's where the trim levels start to get a little more serious. The 3LT gives you a heated steering wheel and a standard Bose premium audio system. Heated, auto-dimming mirrors come on the driver's side, and interior spectrum lighting makes the interior really stand out. A rear camera mirror, rear park assist, lane-change alert with side blind zone alert, and a head-up display are all part of a package that begins to look quite attractive at this level.

LT1

Once you move up to the LT1, you can revel in the power of the 6.2-liter V-8 engine, feel safe with the Brembo front performance anti-lock brakes, and enjoy the smooth suspension that gives the car a real sense of being racetrack-ready. Front and rear black bow-tie emblems add to the stunning features of this trim, and the external engine oil cooler gives you the added performance to power ahead.

1SS

The 1SS is the Chevy trim to take on if you want to maximize comfort and style. This beauty adds an 8-inch infotainment system with enhanced voice recognition, making it easy to use. Its unique curved exterior and some impressive-looking dark tint taillights to go with the striking rear stanchion spoiler and 20-inch five-spoke silver-painted aluminum wheels will turn heads anywhere you go.

2SS

If you want the heart-pounding, authentic feel of the Camaro, this trim and the next are the crowning glories. The 2SS gives you luxury and enjoyment with the power to dominate the road completely. With a range of perks, from a premium audio system to advanced driver assistance technology, this is the car for you. Driver's-side auto-dimming power exterior mirrors, seat and mirror memory settings, wireless device charging, and rear cross-traffic alerts are just a few of the frills that make this a trim you'll remember.

ZL1

The ZL1 trim is the top-of-the-line Chevrolet Camaro. The magnificent, supercharged V-8 engine, fantastic suspension, and RECARO performance front bucket seats make this a car that's as much at home on the racetrack as on the highway. Alloy sports pedals and the suede microfiber-wrapped steering wheel are just some of the small touches that make this the trim to write home about.

What's Different About the 2023 Camaro?

The Chevrolet Camaro has been cultivated to a fine point, and the major changes for 2023 relate to improved style and charm. Each trim builds on its predecessor's features and has some leeway to pick and choose different elements. New 20-inch wheels are available for some of the more luxury trims, and you can now take advantage of new Sharkskin Metallic or Radiant Red Tintcoat for a more exciting exterior paint color.

2023 Chevrolet Camaro Engine Options

Within these trims, you can choose four different engines, giving you a range of power options. The standard is the 2-liter turbo four-cylinder engine, with 295 lb-ft of torque and 275 horsepower. Next up is the 3.6-liter V-6 engine, increasing the horsepower to 335, and this option can be paired with the standard six-speed manual transmission or an optional 10-speed automatic.

The 6.2-liter DI V-8 ramps up the horsepower to 455 along with a whopping 455 lb-ft of torque, meaning you can hit 60 mph from a standing start in about four seconds. The final version is the same engine but supercharged, and it generates 650 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, which means you can reach 60 mph in just 3.5 seconds. With this setup, all people will see of you is your Camaro disappearing over the horizon.
